What started with home staging and smart-home installation is now a full team handling design, technology, and ongoing care for high-end homes across New England — with design consulting in South Florida and Arizona.

Smart Domain is a luxury home services company combining interior design, smart home installation, and home concierge care under one operating company. We serve homeowners, builders, designers, and real estate brokerages who want a single team responsible for how a home looks, how it runs, and how it's cared for over time. The full program is offered in Greater Boston, the South Shore, and Cape Cod. Design and consulting services extend to South Florida and Arizona.

Cole Irwin is a Registered Interior Designer and the founder of Smart Domain. He started the company after years working at the intersection of high-end design and home technology — where the same gap appeared on every project. Design teams, installers, and service providers operated in silos, and the homeowner was left coordinating the seams between them.
Smart Domain was built to close that gap.
Cole is known across the Greater Boston design community for renovation rescue — taking over mid-stream projects that have stalled, gone off-course, or outgrown their original team, and bringing them to completion. He works directly with high-end builders, brokerages, and private clients, and is based out of Smart Domain's Milton office.
More than one set of hands.
Smart Domain operates as a single point of contact backed by a multi-disciplinary team. Our internal staff includes interior designers, smart home technicians, and concierge coordinators. Our extended network of trusted trade partners — contractors, electricians, landscapers, pool services, cleaners, and specialty vendors — works under our coordination on client projects.
The model is deliberate. Clients hold one relationship, not twelve. We absorb the complexity of coordinating across disciplines, and we own the outcome — start to finish, project to project, year to year.
For clients who already have established service relationships, we don't replace them. We coordinate them. Many clients see a net reduction in annual home-service spend after Smart Domain takes over scheduling, oversight, and quality control.
Because we installed your systems, we know what normal looks like. When something changes — a camera goes dark, a thermostat reads wrong, a smart lock stops responding — we know before you do.

Design, smart home, and home concierge — the complete Smart Domain offering — is available in Greater Boston, across the South Shore (Hingham, Cohasset, Norwell, Hanover, Scituate, Pembroke, Duxbury, Plymouth), and throughout Cape Cod.
South Florida & Arizona
For clients with second homes or seasonal residences in the South — Naples, Scottsdale, and surrounding areas — Smart Domain provides interior design and project consulting. Concierge and on-site smart home services are not yet available in these markets.
Smart Domain does not currently serve Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard.

All three. Smart Domain operates as a single company across three disciplines — design, smart home, and concierge — and clients can engage one, two, or all three. The model exists because the founder, a Registered Interior Designer, found that no single existing firm could deliver coordinated service across all three areas at a luxury standard.
